We internally support a number of training schemes, including:
- Vector Apprenticeships
- We take and support a new employee through their 4 year apprenticeship program to obtain a formal technical qualification.
- Intra year
- In conjunction with many universities & colleges, we will take on a student for 6 month “on the job” training experience. The students get an opportunity to apply their studies to real life situations. We find that this is highly beneficial to the student, our organisation as well as our other employees
- Graduate Placements
- Every year our Portadown office takes on a number of graduates from UUJ and QUB, as part of the Graduate Support Program. At the end of their placement, typically 6-12 months, Vector has the opportunity to take on the staff. To date, we have hired 100% of the staff from these programmes.
We work alongside a number of institutions & colleges in these programmes and other training, including:
- Invest NI
- Queens University, Belfast (QUB)
- University of Ulster, Jordanstown (UUJ)
- Open University (OU)
- Dublin City University (DCU)
